Editorial policy

Grand Outdoor Living aims to publish clear, useful writing about outdoor leisure and resourceful time outside. We distinguish general guidance from opinion, keep claims proportionate and correct errors when they come to light.

Accuracy and care

We check names, descriptions and factual claims against suitable references before publication, and review wording so that suggestions do not imply guaranteed outcomes. When a topic depends on local conditions or specialist knowledge, we say so rather than presenting a general answer as universal.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not because a product or partner has asked for coverage. Sponsored work, paid placements and other material produced in partnership are identified clearly as such, so readers can tell the difference from independent editorial content.

Corrections and illustrations

If a published detail is wrong, readers can tell us through the Contact page. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, with a clear note where the change affects a reader's understanding. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, they are labelled.

Our point of view

The outdoors is not a shopping list

A walk, a pocket notebook or a familiar park can be enough. We look for ways to make time outside rewarding without treating new gear as the starting point.
